The university announced on Tuesday that its new rank, Bachelor of Science in Business Agriculture, will be available starting this fall.
“The WBU scale in the agricultural business is the result of our long desire to address this need for workforce in our region,” said Williams President Dr. Stan Norman. “Agriculture is a major component of our economy, not to mention our culture, and we are pleased to help form future leaders in this industry with prominent academic education, focused on Christ that Williams offers.”
The will of the agriculture business in Williams will provide guidance in the AG business, as well as data analysis and information systems for agriculture, including harvest management, land administration, animal health, business operations and marketing. Academically, students in the new degrees program will receive lessons in plant science, animal science, entomology, soil science and Agri mechanics, as well as electoral courses in agriculture.
The program will also have an essence of classes from the WBU People’s Business Department, with courses required in technology, accounting, finance, management, marketing and other major business areas.
Students will also get practical experience at WBU’s Eagle Farms, an agricultural enterprise developed in recent years through the Williams Works School Initiative. Eagle Farms includes a production farm, egg organic operation and meat processing plant, with other agricultural aspects planned for the future.

The new program in Williams was made possible by a grant of Arkansa’s highest industry readiness through the Educational Development Program (employed). Governor Sarah Sanders announced in November that WBU would receive a $ 1.9 million grant employed, a considerable part of which is funding the start of the agricultural business rank and certificates of agriculture and related fields.

Students at WBU WBU WORK initiative work on average 16 hours a week during autumn and spring semesters. As a return, they have covered their full education and student service fees.
