The bold review of the new world – not Steve Rogers

One thing that could have done Captain America: Brave New World a better movie, or at least a better film experience, would have been a last surprise of the act. Imagine if Disney had not traded the hell from the Red Hulk and we would not know how to enter the film that Harrison Ross’s president would turn into the Hulk Red. If this had not been broken in marketing, it could have been a really fun turn. Instead, we just waited to see when it would happen and then we saw a great fight scene and then that was it. Light spoilers forward.

Captain America: Brave New World is not the best or the worst MCU movie. There are some really fun scenes. There is a good political thriller buried in the excess plot. Anthony Mackie did a really great job like Captain America, and as someone who is generally not a great Mackie fan, I’m happy to report that he really grew up on me here.

But outside Mackie and Ford and some strong but short moments with both Giancarlo Esposito’s Seth Voelker and Samuel Sterns of Giancarlo Esposito and Tim Blake Nelson, the film is just a tricky mess. I have already listed three vices: Voelker, Sterns and Red Hulk / Ross, though Ross is less of a vice and more of a good -meaning antagonist and the red hulk is just a natural disaster. I already have trouble keeping track of all these bad guys, plus the young people well presented, and the characters from the past MCU shows. The more I thought about this film as I saw it, the less I liked, because the more I realize how little any of them matters.

So much is happening in a bold new world it is honestly difficult to continue, and the plot just goes, go, go from the beginning. There are various factions and alliances and treaties and conflicts and everyone comes to you quickly, without mercy, as the film is worried that if it slows sometimes people can pay a lot of attention. Despite tons and tons of exhibition to keep the audience up to speed (and help them evaluate them for what is happening as many have probably lost Eternals and Falcon and the Winter Soldier) the whole thing is just weird like hell.

Also hard to really care about any of them. I don’t care Ross and his removed daughter. I really don’t care about international relations between the US and Japan (seriously, Japan?) And the rest of the world powers. I really don’t understand why the sky is filled with adamantium, or. Surely all this is free wolverine?

I will not even bother recovering the plot. The plot is very messy. The plot takes the path of what may have been an interesting film. The film is constantly violating all of itself because of this, and some pleasant moments of the characters that happen feel hasty and abroad, as they were blocked as a mirror. There are some funny moments, but not enough to make up for them all very serious. The plot simply continues to come to you. The plot is a red hulk and is running and dancing and loading us all the time.

There are some mind control things that are happening that can be extremely interesting if treated properly, but the explanation we get ends up much less interesting than what may have been a true plot irritant. Somewhere buried in the ruins of all this plot is an interesting story that struggles to breathe. Gasing and gas for air.

Did u have fun? Safe I liked the parts of this film. Some of the fighting are excellent. The CAP vibranium costume is fresh. It is essentially a strange hybrid of Ant-Man, Falcon, Black Panther and Captain America now, but without any current power, so this is a strange kind, but also a kind of entertainment. But in general, this is a very forgetful introduction to MCU. The whole is less than the sum of its parts. Captain America’s fourth film and the less impressive gang. Disney and Marvel really need to return to the bases, starting with a good half -road scenario. And maybe MCU has overcome himself. Maybe Disney is asking the audience to deceive many shows and movies, all interconnected, and the result is an increasingly apathetic fanbase.

I really hope thunderbolts and fantastic four: the first steps are better.
