- Japan holds a special place in my heart because I have learned English directly from the college.
- My wife and I took our children in Japan for a marriage.
- We learned that Japan is a great destination for young children.
One of the biggest joys of my life has been traveling with my family, especially for other countries. Japan has a particularly important place in my heart – I lived in Japan and learned English There for my first work outside the college, and I still have wonderful friends in Tokyo. Japan has also given my family some of our happiest travel memories.
In October 2017, my wife and me traveled to Tokyo For the wedding of our two Japanese friends. We brought our two children, who were 9 and 7 years old at the time. Before traveling, I was worried that crowds and rushing would scare for young children under the age of 10.
But I was wrong – Japan can be the perfect travel destination for families with young children.
Here are some of the happiest memories of my family’s trips to Japan.
Tokyo is a children’s friendly city
Tokyo is a massive megalopol, massive, futurist, neon, but it is also safe, clean, peaceful, regular and entertaining for children to explore. Japan is as safe as Young children often ride in the metro only while going to and from school.
our Children felt comfortable in Tokyo. They loved interesting, colorful Japanese sales cars that distributed hot tea or cold bottles of lemonade. They enjoyed choosing sushi rolls and baked from Japanese convenience shops (“Konbini”). They liked to look at the Japanese arts and crafts, toys and treasures of souvenirs in local stores in the Shinjuk neighborhood where we stayed. We wanted to walk as a family in the wonderful parks and shrines of Tokyo, like Meiji Jingu, offering sacred and quiet spaces.
Tokyo is easy to navigate, with a large public transit
From our first train trip to the city to “Narita Express” from Tokyo Narita International Airport, our children were fascinated by Japanese train systems easy to use.
It was a pleasure to give our children their small tickets for every Metro Journey, showing them the complex network of tokyo subway maps, and helping them hear the name of each stop that will be called to Japanese in Intercom Metro.
Tokyo has many cute sites to visit
Japanese culture has created so many well -known imaginary universes as anime and Hello Kitty. The best of Japanese pop culture is easily possible when traveling to Tokyo, with fun points like the Ghibli Museum for movie fans like “Spirited Away” and “My Totoro neighbor”.
Our favorite place for children in Tokyo was Kidzania, a comprehensive museum, detailed children’s children and “Kid City”, where children could do different “jobs” of real life such as bread, wizard, firefighter or gas engineer in Tokyo. Our children met and played with many Japanese children at their age and were instructed by friendly, English -speaking English -speaking staff. Best of all, Kidzania had an inner cafe, where mothers and fathers could rest with a cup of coffee.
Japanese hospitality culture is warm and welcoming
Every meal in Japan was delicious! Our children especially enjoyed sushi belt carrier (“Kaitenzushi”), the Ramen wall of the wall on the wall, which our friends took us, and the Izakaya restaurant where we could all choose numerous small tiles (Japanese taps) and eat family style. We felt well fed and well cared at every meal in Japan.
Japan is a magical place of exciting images, wonderful food and friendship. It was an honor to see it with my family, especially through the eyes of my children and nostalgically through the eyes of my newest self. Hope to visit Tokyo again somewhere soon in the coming years.
