The opinions expressed by the contributors of the entrepreneur are theirs.
My first article in three books that helped me cross Mark 100k $ was very introspective, and I love the books displayed in that article – they really changed my life. I still hear them often; They never get old, and I learn new things every time.
But the right warning, the books in THIS The article is a full 180 degrees from the books listed in the first article, but I love them as much, and when used at the same time, the options are endless.
There is something about the balance of spiritual growth as well as the physical exercise that unlocks a certain level – a level that I didn’t even know existed. There is something to push yourself so physically that you find that things you didn’t even know were possible, and that has a great effect on your mental mentality, which will make you stronger in all aspects of life, including running and growing your business!
Connected: 3 books that made me 6 figures that have nothing to do with business at all
Book #1 – Can’t hurt me By David Goggins
I’ve written about David Goggins before, and this is 100% book that made me realize that I can do (many) difficult things. My “hard” is not as difficult as it is growing. Being physically, orally and emotionally abused by his father, called racial slurs and having some of the learning disabilities made nothing easy for him. At the time he was in his early twenties, he was overweight, working on a dead job in a pest control company and in general, not turning anywhere. I will be honest: this book was difficult to hear from time to time as he shares the raw experiences of his life while he was growing up.
However, it makes you understand if a person can overcome such things, we can also! In this book, Goggins confessed his first 100-mile race … I will leave the physical details for you to discover (as soon as he jumped in my mouth a little) and share what stuck with me for his opinion.
Here is his 40% philosophy: “When you think you are done, you are only about 40% in what your body is capable of doing. This is just the boundaries we set for ourselves.”
That broke my mind.
And it made me understand how influential the mind is actually + bonding our body. We think we are over, but we have much more to give. This also applies to our mental abilities. Once we realize we can do much more in so many areas of life…
Life is changed forever.
Bonus: Never ended
Gogins’ second book He continues with his story more and shares his experiences that make anyone who reads to realize that they can do difficult things too.

Book #2 – bear by Cameron Hanes
Hashtag Hanes, #keephammering, pretty much summarizes everything. Born and raised in a small town outside Eugene, Oregon, Hanes had a childhood in order – his parents divorced when he was young, and Hanes spent most of his time staying away from his home’s tensions and did not seem to have much interest in nothing but the party … up to his first hunting at 19.
That changed it. He began to follow his passion for Bowhunting. He realized he wanted to be the best, so he began to run marathon (not half, but all) every day before his 9-5 work and the arrow would shoot when he returned home. He is a great believer to prevent others from giving up, being obsessed and training too much so that you can kneel easily.
How can you apply these tips of thinking to your business?
Are you passionate about what you do? Hopefully, the answer is yes.
Are you doing whatever you can to achieve your dreams and live your passion? I know that every day is not rainbow and butterfly, but if you are not passionate about what you do, you will have a difficult time to work to make your business a success.
Are you doing difficult things, so “hunting” is easy? This is different for everyone, but doing something physical every day that pushes you will do your daily tasks, headaches, etc., easier to deal with as you will be mentally in a better place.
PS is not surprising that hanes and goggins are friends!

Book #3 – Ruthless By my S. Grover
To be honest, I had never heard of Grover before this book, but I saw someone shared it on Instagram and said it was a necessary reading for business owners, and they were right.
Grover’s first client starting on your own? Michael Jordan. He sent handwritten letters to everyone on the Bulls team … except MJ. But Jordan heard about it and succeeded!
Other clients included Kobe, Dwayne and Sir Charles. This book goes into depth with regard to the hard physical work and mental hardness that these greats endured to hit and suppress their goals. The title says it all: these people were ruthless in pursuing their dreams, and it comes with blood, sweat and tears.
Article
Honestly, I am not great to explain how it pushes itself physically with inspiration from these books has changed my life, but I encourage you to push yourself so you can see how it feels.
Set a physical purpose that looks out of reach and fill it. You should not be the best or faster; You just have to fill it. Or try goggins 4 x 4 x 48 (Run 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours … Don’t worry, I didn’t think I would finish it the first time!)
I can promise you that you will feel different, and your perspective will change completely – for yourself, your business, the world, what is actually possible, everything.
